Installing Kali Linux on Raspberry Pi 3 Headless

  1. Download and install Raspberry Pi Imager. https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/

  2. Download the ubuntu server image from the following link according to Raspberry Pi Version. https://www.offensive-security.com/kali-linux-arm-images/

now right click on downloaded image and open with Raspberry Pi Imager, then select the right card and then wirte.

This method is not working

reason is that when i am editing the usb files from vm actually the files on that usb is not changing. changes are remained in kali linux which is running in vm.

  1. Now install the kali linux gui version as Virtual machine using virtual box or vmware.

set permissions of file

sudo chmod 600 Home.nmconnection

Go to /etc/NetworkManager and open the NetworkManager.conf file and change managed value from false to true.

[main]
plugins=ifupdown,keyfile

managed=true
